Scottsdale West is a community in northern Odessa, about 5 miles from downtown. The established neighborhood offers large lots and various homes built between the 1960s and 1980s. "The homes are well taken care of, and it is one of the quieter neighborhoods," says Yvonne Rosas, an eXp Realty Realtor with over five years of experience. "It is a desired neighborhood and nice for smaller families." Proximity to schools, the Music City Mall and golf courses add to the neighborhood's appeal.

The nearest park to Scottsdale West is Sherwood Park, about 1 mile away. The park features an outdoor aquatic center, baseball fields and the Prairie Pete Playland playground. Catfish and southern comfort food
For groceries and household essentials, H-E-B and Target are less than 2 miles south of the neighborhood at the Winwood Town Center. The town center also includes chain restaurants and fast-food joints, like Jack in the Box and Taco Bell. A few blocks west on 42nd Street is Big Daddy's Grill and Bar, a family-owned establishment with western décor and local high school memorabilia. Big Daddy’s serves catfish, chicken and other southern favorites. "It's really good, and who doesn't love catfish?" Rosas says. Across the street is Volcano Korean BBQ and Sushi, offering a wide selection of sushi and all-you-can-eat service with a fryer in the middle of the table to cook the food.

The nearest public transportation is outside the neighborhood boundaries, with an EZ-Rider bus stop on Grandview Avenue and 52nd Street. Midland International Space and Air Port is around 13 miles east, while Midland is about 21 miles away. The Odessa Regional Medical Center is 4 miles away from Scottsdale West.
