Springdale is Odessa community known for its location
The Odessa neighborhood of Springdale sits at the crossroads of University Boulevard and Grandview Avenue, two of the city’s major streets. There are restaurants like Taqueria Reynosa and businesses like Frost Bank at the intersection. “You have easy access to get anywhere you want in Odessa,” says Realtor Tim Lester with Keller Williams Realty, who has worked in the area for six years. Downtown Odessa, which features community staples such as the Permian Basin Hamburger Co., is about a 4-mile drive, and Music City Mall is about 2 miles away. The area is also near the University of Texas Permian Basin, home to an art museum, Stonehenge Replica and sprayground.

Springdale is an established area in Odessa
Oak trees grow in the front lawns of Springdale, which are often decorated with bushes and shrubbery. Most homes have wide driveways that lead to two-car garages, although there is plenty of room for street parking. Residents can stroll the narrow sidewalks that line the roads. The neighborhood is almost exclusively filled with brick, stone and vinyl ranch styles. “It’s a very developed area,” Lester says. “It’s a lot of older homes that have been there for a good amount of time that tend to be more affordable.” Nearly every property was built between the 1950s and 1960s. A two-bedroom can cost between $125,000 and $175,000, while three- to four-bedrooms typically range from $200,000 to $250,000.
