North Odessa neighborhood near many recreational opportunities
Six miles north of Downtown Odessa and just south of the Odessa-Schlemeyer Field Airport sits the tucked-away neighborhood of Sunset Heights. Along the gridded streets of Sunset Heights, residents live in ranch-style and mobile homes that sit on spacious plots of land. “It’s more off the grid,” says Yvonne Rosas, a Realtor with eXp Realty. “It’s for people who want their privacy.” While the neighborhood is primarily residential, it’s surrounded by so much. “Sunset Heights is a hub in the middle of it all,” Rosas says. Nearby is the popular Sherwood Park, which offers a variety of recreational opportunities, along with Ratliff Stadium, the host of both Odessa and Permian High School football games. The proximity to restaurants and golf courses also adds to the neighborhood's appeal.
