Located just 6 miles from Edmond and 11 miles from downtown Oklahoma City (OKC), Chisholm Creek makes these hubs more accessible. “Edmond is nearby without having to pay all the taxes of the area,” says Realtor Adalia Sosanya with Chamberlain Realty and former Chisholm Creek resident. “And, it offers a good commercial and real estate diversity that you can’t find in other areas of the city.”

Multiple housing options in Chisholm Creek

Homes in Chisholm Creek are often brick ranches on 8,800-square-foot lots. Occasional mature trees add shade and color to streets. While many neighborhoods lack sidewalks, their central location makes the commercial center accessible by foot. The typical listing here ranges from $125,000 to $350,000, with homes in the newer developments representing the higher end.
Chisholm Creek’s new developments mean homebuyers can find several types of housing options. Sasanya shares that in the eastern portion of the neighborhood by Quain Springs, there are condos. South of Chisholm Creek’s shopping district, there are single-family homes and townhomes. Renters can even find apartments within walking distance of shopping. “You’re pulling from all housing quadrants, and it's all within a radius of Chisholm Creek,” says Sosanya.

Learning at Oklahoma City Public Schools

Quail Creek Elementary School offers a STEAM program that uses hands-on learning for subjects like robotics. It earns a C from Niche. John Marshall Middle School receives a C-minus from Niche. At John Marshall High School, students can take Advanced Placement (AP) classes or do Concurrent Enrollment with the University of Central Oklahoma to earn college credit. Live holiday concerts on the water

Chisholm Creek’s mixed-use development has an amphitheater with a stage on the water. “Every holiday, they have an outdoor concert where they hire local artists and vendors to come out,” Sasanya says. The Chisholm Creek Christmas Village is an annual tradition in the new neighborhood, where residents can stroll through the holiday lights and Christmas market, take photos with Santa or even catch a performance from the OKC ballet. In the warmer months, the farmers' market brings local vendors, like the Growe Flower Truck, with fresh blooms flowing out of the truck bed.

Access to Edmond and OKC

Highway 77 serves as the neighborhood’s eastern border and connects it with Edmond and OKC. People here will require a car to get outside the neighborhood, but many developments offer walkability to the commercial center. The 003 bus stops along North Pennsylvania Avenue, which residents can take downtown for work or events thrown by the city.

Pho Lien Hoa has a second location in Chisholm Creek for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. For something sweet, try Rosemary’s Bakery or T-swirl Crepe. The fun doesn’t stop with food—attractions like Top Golf and escape rooms keep people entertained.
