The sunsets there are beautiful, and there are great restaurants nearby for dinner by the water.” The lake is a 5.5-mile drive along West Lakeshore Drive, where visitors can enjoy the playgrounds and fishing opportunities of Stars and Stripes Park, which sits next to the lake. Residents also head to nearby Harvest Hill Park, less than a mile away, to visit the park’s splash pad and swing set.

Those looking to find some action partake in events happening in Oklahoma City throughout the year. Mistletoe Market has been a Christmas tradition since 1994. “We really enjoy dinners at Hefner Grill, especially with the waterfront views,” says George. The seafood restaurant is located a 6.2-mile drive from the neighborhood via West Hefner Road. Closer to home is Hefner Sushi & Poke, known for its quality soup and sushi rolls. Grocery shopping can be done less than two miles away at Crest Foods and retail at Silver Springs Shopping Pointe. The shopping mall is nearby and is home to a Walmart, Kohl’s and more.
Getting around Eagle Ridge N/Ole Windmill Estates
Those heading into Oklahoma City for work or to attend classes at one of the city’s universities do so through a 21.5-mile commute via John Kilpatrick Turnpike. The same road carries travelers along a 22.3-mile drive to Will Rogers World Airport. Closer to home is INTEGRIS Health Canadian Valley Hospital, which is a 14.5-mile trip along the same turnpike.
Sundance Airport considerations
Located less than 5 miles west of the community is Sundance Airport. Alongside being a municipal airport, it is also home to a flight academy. Those looking to move to the community should keep this in mind regarding air traffic volume overhead.
