New OKC suburb backed by convenience and strong schools
Tucked between Oklahoma City and Yukon just south of the intersection between the Kilpatrick Turnpike and the Northwest Expressway, Harvest Hills West is backed by a strong school system and access to a plethora of shopping and green space. A newer neighborhood than Harvest Hills proper just east, residents are drawn to its practical location and strong allotment of new construction homes. Christy Hawkins, a Realtor with Keller Williams Green Meadow, adds that its age is a large part of its appeal. “It’s perfect for people looking for a turnkey home, somewhere move-in ready with all the modern finishes,” she says. Grant Hawkins, a real estate agent with Keller Williams-Green Meadow says the strength of the school system is drawing people west. “Piedmont Schools. You can write that three times. It’s also right on the edge of Putnam Schools, which is another really good district. There are a ton of people who want to be in Piedmont Schools.”
Harvest Hills West is comprised mostly of newly built homes.

New construction inspired by classic Oklahoman ideals
Homes in Harvest Hills West are mostly traditional and Dallas style homes built in the early 2000s and beyond with builds inspired by classic Oklahoman style architecture with front porch pillars and farmhouse style shutters. “Harvest Hills West is great for people looking to get out of the urban core, people who are looking for a little more space to raise their families, and for homes that don’t require a lot of work to move into,” Hawkins says. For a Traditional-style home built in 2022 with farmhouse-inspired wooden shutters and a modern high-contrast exterior color palette, an open floorplan with airy cathedral ceilings and a chef’s kitchen, expect to pay around $320,000. But homes here range in price between $250,000 and $400,000. “There’s something for almost every budget here, whether you’re a first-time buyer or looking to upgrade from your first home,” Hawkins adds.
