13 miles from Downtown OKC
Lakeridge Run is a highly sought-after Oklahoma City suburb, nestled at the hub’s southern edge. The neighborhood is zoned for “great schools,” while nearby Earlywine Park is also a “big draw,” according to Christy Hawkins, a 45-year local and real estate agent. As neighborhood kids play on wide, manicured front lawns, nearby residents walk their dogs along the quiet streets. Popular with families, Lakeridge Run is the textbook definition of a relaxed suburban community just 13 miles from Downtown OKC.
Large yards with Ranch-Style Homes in Lakeridge Run
Classic brick homes in Lakeridge Run
The majority of Lakeridge Run’s single-family homes are ranch-style, built in the late 1980s. Brick pillar mailboxes sit at the corner of each driveway, matching the evenly spaced, classic brick homes lining the streets of the community. Hawkins notes that prices hover “in the upper middle range” compared to neighboring communities, as the median price for a typical three- to four-bedroom home rests around the $300,000 mark. Slightly more upscale subdivisions feature Dallas architecture with properties ranging from $450,000 to $550,000. These neighborhoods, like that of Tuttington Circle and Greenbriar Chase, commonly display circular driveways and signature flourishes in the Tudor and Colonial Revival style.

Moore Public Schools’ stellar reputation
As the third-largest public school system in Oklahoma, Moore Public Schools (MPS) has a stellar reputation. Hawkins notes that schools in the district are unparalleled, citing it as the reason many residents move out of the city’s center. Students can begin at Fisher Elementary School, receiving an A-grade on Niche. Here, kindergarten through sixth graders are immersed in an active learning environment, encouraged to grow not only intellectually but physically, emotionally and socially as well. Brink Junior High also receives an A on Niche, while Westmoore High School receives an A-minus with the highest scores in diversity and college prep.
Commuting into the city
With suburban living comes suburban convenience. However, Lakeridge Run’s lack of public transportation leaves locals car-dependent. Nearby Interstate 44, however, allows accessibility to Will Rogers World Airport, located 7 miles north. Potential homebuyers should note the possibility of dwelling beneath the flight path of in and outbound planes. Both I-44 and I-35 head 12 miles north into OKC, with I-240 serving as a central thoroughfare and connector. City commuters can expect substantial rush-hour traffic along each interstate, though less traveled routes are woven throughout OKC’s southern suburbs.
Food truck Thursdays
On Thursday evenings, food trucks populate the semicircle between Linn and Country Drive. Lakeridge Run’s active neighborhood association plans the trucks two months in advance, allowing locals to plan the excursion around their favorite picks. As for daily provisions, Southwest 104th Street holds the Cross Timber strip mall, offering a small collection of restaurants and retail spots with a Crest Market across the street. Similarly, Chatenay Square Shopping Plaza and World Fresh International Market are a few miles west, a simple strip with standard amenities. Folks looking for a wider range of commercial shopping destinations can explore Southwest 10th Street or head farther north to I-240.
