There is a wide array of architectural styles found in Quail Springs.
A community between two cities
Between the edges of Oklahoma City and Edmond to the north is a blend of subdivisions and shopping. The southern end is a busy commercial district while winding suburban streets await to the north. Residents are close to several major thoroughfares, a top school district and countless entertainment options. “This is the neighborhood for people looking to be in the middle of the action,” says Jennifer Fields, a Realtor with Re/Max at Home, based in Edmond. “You’re close to Chisholm Creek, Mercy Hospital and, of course, Quail Springs Mall. Everything you could possibly think of needing, whether it’s shopping, dining or something to do, is nearby.”
Quail Springs is a prime retail destination
Locals have more than their fair share of shopping options lining down the commercial corridor, Memorial Road. Residents can take to big box retailers like Target, Walmart and Lowes for groceries and home supplies. Planted here is the Quail Springs Mall, one of OKC’s most popular shopping destinations. Opened in the 1980’s, the indoor mall offers unique entertainment options alongside traditional retail. Locals can visit Blue Zoo, OKC’s first aquarium, to learn about animals, from sharks and stingrays to birds and reptiles, through exhibits and interactive experiences. There’s also Lunar Mini Golf and Round 1 Bowling for those more interested in games. The shopping area also contains several national and regional restaurant chains, allowing the chance to order or dine close to homes. Fields says one of her favorite places is the nearby Riserva, a modern Mediterranean-style bar and tapas restaurant. “It’s really great. They have really big garage doors that open up from the inside to the outside, and the short rib hummus and the skirt steak shawarma are both really delicious,” she says.

Locals spend time in private and public outdoor spaces
The community is also sandwiched between the private golf courses of Quail Creek and Rose Creek Clubs. Martin Park Nature Center is an outdoor retreat about 5 miles southwest of Quail Springs. The natural area has a learning center, woodland trails and guided hiking events. To the east rests Redlands Park, a small neighborhood space with playgrounds and open space for picnics. Some subdivisions offer private green spaces tucked away along the tidy residential streets. However, there are a number of nearby public parks where locals can enjoy the outdoors.

Most homes are away from the busy Memorial Road
The majority of Quails Springs homes rest in the northern section. However, one-bedroom to three-bedroom units can be found inside Quail Springs Condominiums to the south. “Most homes are classic brick ranch-style, but there’s a mix of some contemporary and traditional homes, too,” Fields notes. Much of Quail Springs sprang up between the late 1970s and ‘80s, though the areas also contain some brand-new builds. Fields says that new construction in the neighborhood is rare. “Most people tend to remodel rather than tear down and build fresh,” she says. Homes constructed over the last five years can be found in the IronStone subdivision. Esperanza is a smaller gated development that provides a sense of seclusion among custom-built homes. The price range for the area is broad; buyers can pay between $125,000 and $175,000 for a condo and over $1 million for a sizeable custom-built house with a backyard pool. However, most houses list for $250,000 to $450,000. The neighborhood is also seeing a new build-for-rent community, Quail Village, which consists of apartment homes.
