Rock Knoll-Lansbrook area homes have a mix of architectural styles that were popular in the 1970s, including traditional styles and variations on the ranch style, like ramblers and split levels. Home sizes vary, ranging from around 1,100 square feet for a three-bedroom townhome to 4,000 square feet for a four or five-bedroom single-family home. Homebuyers interested in purchasing property in the area can expect to pay anywhere from $130,000 up to $390,000.“These are established neighborhoods. They're ranging from new buyers all the way to elderly that have been there living there for years,” says Lindsay Greene, real estate agent with The Agency. “They're going to be oozing with much more character, like really cool stone exterior…and each home is not going to look the same. You're going to have have a lot of like walkability and a lot of restaurants and bars, just right there in that pocket.”

Putnam City Schools

Students begin at Wiley Post Elementary School, rated C on Niche, moving on to Hefner Middle School and Putnam City North High School, rated B-minus and B, respectively. students have several ways to get involved in the school community, like joining the Academic team, where members test their scholarly knowledge against other schools in quiz bowl-type competitions. Putnam High students can join clubs and athletic teams such as the art, drama and eco clubs, and represent the Putnam North Panthers on the football field, or in cross-country and volleyball.

Lake Hefner: an outdoor playground and boating paradise

If residents of the Rock Knoll-Lansbrook area want even more green space than what’s in the neighborhood, they only have to venture two miles east to Lakeshore Park, which, as the name implies, sits on the west shore of big, beautiful Lake Hefner's sparkling waters. Lakeshore Park is a great place to kick around a soccer ball, take a long walk or watch the sunset over the water. More adventurous lakegoers can head over to the south side of Lake Hefner to try some kayaking, paddleboarding or sailing where a nine-mile walking trail takes visitors all around the lake. Nearby the Stars and Stripes skatepark is available for practicing kickflips, or dust off the old nine iron for a round on the public courses of Lake Hefner Golf Club.

Plentiful shopping along Northwest Expressway

With the Northwest Expressway close by, Rock Knoll-Lansbrook residents can easily access numerous shopping centers along the expressway, which contain countless stores, like Walmart Supercenter, Target and Aldi. There are also many restaurants nearby. For a taste of fresh, homestyle cooking, Sunnyside Dinner sits just outside the neighborhood where patrons can start their day with a hearty breakfast like eggs and bacon, or lemon blueberry French toast, or old favorites like burgers and fries with a tasty cinnamon roll for desert to top it off. At like Lemongrass Hot Pot diners cook their own Taiwanese hot pot meal by adding fresh vegetables and meats to a table-top pot of simmering, flavorful broth.

Northwest Expressway

Rock Knoll-Lansbrook sits just north of the Northwest Expressway a major thoroughfare with access to shopping and other prime destinations in Oklahoma. “Expressway is like the main road of Oklahoma City that can take you I mean, super far can take you all the way to Mustang, Yukon and Piedmont but it can also take you all the way to North Oklahoma City by the mall, and by you know, bigger shopping establishments,” Greene adds.
