Spring Meadows' semi-rural community is spread out with easy access
In Spring Meadows, residents do experience all four seasons. But since the neighborhood is situated on the Yukon-Mustang side of Oklahoma City’s western border, there’s plenty to do here year-round and in any kind of weather. Realtor Ryan Cole, with Re/Max Energy, says, “You’re so close to everything right here between Yukon and Mustang, where all the activity takes place.” He confirms that the location is the primary draw, describing the community this way: “Wooded, definitely. But rural? Not so much.” He explains, “It’s probably over-said, but in Spring Meadows it’s actually true: You feel like you’re farther out in the country, but you’re still just right there in the city, in close proximity to everything you could need or want.”
Single-family and mobile homes sit on large lots
You’ll find homes built between the late ‘90s and mid-2010s here. Per Cole, “Spring Meadows is mainly mobile homes, but there are a few single-family homes being built currently that are not.” He notes that the new construction in the neighborhood is varied in style. “There are some that are a little more modern, with white stucco and sharp lines, but most lean more Traditional or Dallas-style,” he observes, noting that much of the new construction features brick facades instead of the vinyl siding cladding the neighborhood’s original homes. Prices here range between $150,000 and $250,000, slightly under the median for the greater OKC metro. Cole notes: “One of the best things about Spring Meadows is that the homes here are all on acre to 2-acre lots, but they’re still pretty affordable compared to a lot of other homes with acreage in this area.” He explains that it’s possible to find similarly priced properties elsewhere, but Spring Meadows is unique in that, “It’s a good opportunity to purchase acreage that already has a home on it.”
B-plus-rated public schools in Mustang
Spring Meadows students attend schools in the highly sought-after Mustang Public Schools system. Many go to Mustang Trails Elementary, Mustang North Middle and Mustang High School, all of which boast B-plus grades from Niche. “It’s a great school district,” Cole notes, adding that many of his clients mention the district as one of the primary draws to the area. While Mustang High is slightly over 5 miles south of the neighborhood, down Mustang Road, Mustang Trails Elementary and Mustang North Middle are both closer to home, on 15th Street less than 2.5 miles northeast.
Retail and dining in the nearby metro area
Less than 3 miles from Interstate 40, residents are well-positioned to take advantage of all the shopping, dining and entertainment the metro has to offer. Cole notes: “You can get just about anywhere by getting on I-40.” He adds that in The Market at Czech Hall shopping center just south of I-40, “There’s all kinds of shopping, like Academy Sports and Ross, and nice sit-down restaurants.” He adds that an Oklahoma-favorite breakfast chain, Neighborhood Jam, is coming soon to the shopping center, too. “It’s getting built down the street right now, and we’re very excited for it, they have great food there,” he gushes. For your weekly groceries, The Market at Czech Hall has you covered as well. Your local Crest Foods is there on the south side of the interstate, with Homeland just across the way, half a mile farther north.
