A well-connected OKC community

Signs for “Yard of the Month” and other seasonal accolades decorate lawns in the neighboring communities of Stone Meadows and Stone Meadows South. Situated between Southwest 149th Street and Southwest 164th Street, these residential pockets offer quick access to Interstate 35 to the east and Interstate 44 to the west and are some of the most convenient places to live in south Oklahoma City.

OKC's turn-of-the-21st-century homes

Vicki Drive connects Stone Meadows to Stone Meadows South, each of which has one main entrance. With well-kept sidewalks glazing past sturdy brick mailboxes, these neighborhoods provide a feeling of unity, as well as a sense of security. 3-to-4 bedroom Modern Craftsman homes with sturdy brick facades and fully fenced backyards line the streets. Prices float between $255,000 and $300,000. The neighborhoods were first planned and constructed in the early-to-mid 2000s, and many maintain warm wood finishes in kitchens and bathrooms.

Stone Meadows communities become a grid of vibrant green hues in the warmer months. Strict homeowners association guidelines keep these streets similar in layout and each lawn well-maintained. Miniature American flags stick out from stone-bordered gardens in the summer, and lights twinkle from the rafters in the winter.

Playground fun at Westmoore Trails Park

The Stone Meadows neighborhoods themselves are broken up by large grassy fields perfect for walking the dogs or for homeowners to stretch their legs. Meanwhile, a firetruck-themed playground, splash pad and concrete walking trails are just under a mile away at Westmoore Trails Park. Intuitively designed shelters provide ample shade above the play equipment and swings, so kids and caretakers can stay outside despite the beating Oklahoma sun. Nearby Featherstone Park sits on a manmade pond and offers another small playground and covered shelter.

Visiting the Moore Public Library

Stone Meadows is just over 3 miles away from the Moore Public Library. This branch of OKC’s Pioneer Library System hosts weekly events like Zumba and Preschool Story Time, as well as annual gatherings for the whole family, like the Rockin' Noon Years Dance Party. Kids play chess weekly at the nearby Moore Community Center, which includes plenty of space for pickup sports and other activities.

Stone Meadows South residents create spooky scenes outside their homes for the Halloween decoration contest and keep their yards pristine year-round to earn Yard of the Month – and they’re never far from the action in downtown OKC.
