The Grove

Recently built New Traditional and Modern Craftsman styles
"A big draw to The Grove is the availability of new builds," says Janet Helms, Real Estate Advisor with Engel & Volkers Edmond, who has 7-plus years of experience. The neighborhood features homes built over the past decade, but homebuyers can still find brand-new construction to buy. The Grove homes reflect varying architectural styles, including brick-fronted New Traditional and Modern Craftsman with high-reaching roofs. Each sits atop well maintained front yards, which connect to neat sidewalks and perfectly paved roads, all thanks to the presence of a homeowners association. Prices for homes in the community range from $280,000 for a three-bedroom home to $460,000 for a larger, four-bedroom house. "One of the things I like about the homes in The Grove is that most of them back up to green belts," Helms adds. "You're not staring into someone else's yard when sitting on your back porch."The highly rated Deer Creek Public School DIstrict
Children living in The Grove attend schools in the Deer Creek Public Schools district, ranked No. 3 in Niche’s Best School Districts in the Oklahoma City area. Young students will begin their educational journey at Grove Valley Elementary School, which has earned a National Blue Ribbon School Award and has been given an A-minus from Niche. Older students will head to Deer Creek Intermediate School and Deer Creek Middle School, both of which have received an A from Niche. High School students will head to Deer Creek High School, which has earned an A-minus from Niche and is home to a “popular football program,” says Helms. “It’s a real Friday-night-lights type of environment.”The amenities of The Grove
addition to two clubhouses, a fitness center, and basketball courts, there are two resort-type pool complexes, one of which is reminiscent of a water park with a large, curving slide, spray toys and a 50-gallon bucket that dumps water every 5 minutes. For fun out of the water, The Grove has several playgrounds, including Treehouse Park, where kids have a ball climbing, swinging and sliding on the treehouse-themed play equipment. A stroll along the neighborhood’s paved walking trail showcases folks practicing their moves on the large soccer field or enjoying the shade of the pond-side community gazebo.Annual traditions in downtown Edmond
These clubhouses function as spaces for residents to throw their own events like birthdays and other celebrations. City tradition, however, is found at the Annual Downtown Edmon Arts Festival, which has been running for 46 years. Attendees can explore, and shop pieces made by local artists and enjoy free live music while munching on festival food from a handful of vendors.Morning treats from J&J Donuts
"There's a lot of commercial activity in the area, like new restaurants and convenience stores, which is nice to have so close by," says Helms. J&J Donuts is within walking distance of the neighborhood, while Café Sol Latin Kitchen and its popular Enchiladas de Mama sit just a short drive away. For a meal at home, it's quick and easy to pick up a grocery order at the nearby JackBe Curbside Drive-Thru Grocer. Those looking to retail shop can head 5 miles out to Quail Springs Mall, home to over 100 retailers.
Quick commutes from The Grove
Bordering the community to the east is Highway 74, which residents can use to jump onto I-77 for a 17-mile drive to downtown Oklahoma City. Those looking to catch a flight out of the area can reach the Will Rogers World Airport in a 20-mile commute via I-44, while trips to Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City are a short 4.5-mile drive south along Highway 74. Even closer to home is Central Oklahoma College’s Campus, which is a convenient 2.7-mile commute via North May Avenue.
Studying at the University of Central Oklahoma
Central Oklahoma College, for example, is a short 2.8-drive south of the neighborhood, while Platt College is less than a mile farther. Those attending classes at the University of Central Oklahoma don’t have to travel too far, as its campus sits just 6-miles east of the community along West Edmond Road.
