Suburban charm at The Village Green
While its name may evoke a countryside hamlet, The Village Green has its own suburban charm. Realtor Tiffany Stocker, of Metro First Realty, says the allure of this small Oklahoma City community is threefold: “It’s a beautifully maintained area with great schools and a real classic suburban atmosphere,” she says. Five miles west of Moore and 15 miles south of downtown OKC, the neighborhood offers a relaxed atmosphere and easy access to parks and Will Rogers World Airport.

Summer fun at Earlywine Family Aquatic Center
Early morning strolls and afternoon dog walks on the sidewalks are a common sight throughout the neighborhood. Sidewalks lead to Earlywine Park, about a mile west on 119th Street, featuring ball fields, a playground, tennis courts, picnic areas and walking paths, plus water slides, a splash pad and a concession stand at the Earlywine Family Aquatic Center. Just down the street, Earlywine Golf Course features two golf courses and a new clubhouse with a restaurant and bar. A little further west, 158-acre South Lakes Park also offers multiple playgrounds, soccer fields and fishing ponds.

Highly rated schools in the Moore Public Schools District
“You’re close to the highways, Earlywine Park and any grocery store you could need, but people are really interested in the location for the school district,” says Kimberly Reynolds, a Realtor with Chamberlain Realty. Kids can attend Fisher Elementary before going to Brink Middle and graduating from Westmoore High. All schools receive an A from Niche. The high school has 20 advanced placement classes and offers college credit through dual enrollment. The Moore War Run, an annual 5K race hosted by the Westmoore and Moore High School Alumni Associations, has been a summer tradition since 2008. Proceeds from the race benefit scholarships for college-bound Westmoore and Moore fourth-year students.

Brick traditional homes
The gently curved residential streets are lined with sturdy brick mailboxes and sidewalks. Most homes are brick traditional and contemporary ranch-style homes built between the 1970s and ‘80s, with the occasional two-story home dotting the neighborhood. Solid wood cabinetry and ample storage are hallmarks of the 2,000-square-foot homes in the community. “It’s quiet, the neighbors are older and they’ve been there forever. There’s hardly ever any turnover,” says Jana Blair, an agent with Ariston CRE and Moore native. Homes cost between $200,000 and $300,000.
