Comfortable suburban neighborhood close to Lewis-McChord
The Seasons neighborhood in east Lacey is a quiet, almost rural residential neighborhood that’s still close to shopping and dining, not to mention a number of sizeable recreational areas. Its location makes it a top landing spot for those looking to live within a short drive of both Lacey’s retail centers and Joint Base Lewis-McChord. “It’s right on the edge of town; in fact, a lot of it is outside the city limits, so it’s got a real rural feel to it — there are farms all over the place,” says local Realtor Robert Elvin of eXp Realty. “But it’s still only a few miles from the shops on Martin Way, and there are a ton of parks and lakes and even wineries in the area, so if you like the outdoors, there’s a lot to do.”
The Seasons neighborhood is great for nature lovers and those who want modern amenities.

Contemporary homes with Craftsman influences
With the exception of a few midcentury developments on its south side, most homes in The Seasons were built in the 1990s and early 2000s. These properties generally feature contemporary designs with Craftsman influences. The neighborhood’s location on the edge of town means lot sizes are often larger than in more centrally located neighborhoods, often 1/4 acre or more. Garages are common, as are backyards that back up into local woods. New 55+ housing developments are coming up at the Ovation at Oak Tree and The Village. These new developments, along with some other areas in the center of the neighborhood, are fairly close to the local train tracks, which connect Seattle and Portland, and varying levels of rail noise are definitely audible in these areas. Midcentury ranch-style homes on the south side can be found in the $400,000 to $500,000 range, while the rest of the neighborhood's housing stock typically sells for between $500,000 and $700,000 — though luxury homes on the far north end can go for more than that. The Seasons has a CAP Index Crime Score of 2 out of 10, below the national average of 4 out of 10.
