Only 9 miles north of Provo, this locale is located on Interstate 15, which can take residents on the 37-mile trip north to Salt Lake City or south to Las Vegas. To get around town, the UVX, or Utah Valley Express, is a bus system that takes passengers to stops throughout Orem. From Aspen, the nearest bus stop is just south of the neighborhood on State Street, which carries traffic west around Utah Lake to avoid major freeways. Aspen is located off State Street, which offers a variety of dining options. Residents can order a local favorite, the pork burrito, at Costa Vida, a casual eatery with Tex-Mex cuisine and a gluten-free menu. Kneaders Bakery & Café is famous for its turkey bacon avocado sandwich. South of Aspen in Bonneville, residents can find groceries at the Redmond Heritage Farm Store, which carries organic food, grass-fed beef and raw milk. Across the street, Macey’s Orem is a large supermarket with all the kitchen essentials.
