The Orlando neighborhood of Lake Hart is a laid-back and rural area that boasts acres of land and sprawling estates running along the western banks of its namesake and around the smaller, but picturesque, Lake Whippoorwill. “It feels like Old Florida, with the oak trees and all the nature,” says Kathy Hereford, a Realtor with Keller Williams Advantage III who has sold throughout Central Florida for 20 years. “It’s very quiet and very peaceful. But if you drive three minutes, you’re back in the middle of everything happening.”

Area kids can also attend Valencia College at its Lake Nona campus, located close to the community's west side.

Residents can join the Whippoorwill-Hart Community Association, the voluntary HOA, which aims to ensure neighbors connect, even though their homes are far apart. “They make sure to get to know everyone; they’ll have to get-togethers and barbecues,” Hereford says. Residents are also close to Lake Nona’s many regular events. The Lake Nona Farmers Market is held every first and third Wednesday of the month at nearby Laureate Park. Each May, the community comes together for the Run Nona 5K & Nemours Kids Run, which starts early in the evening and culminates in a boisterous block party at 8 p.m.

Major roadways and Orlando International Airport are nearby
Narcoossee Road runs along the community’s west side, and Central Florida GreenWay is nearby. Both roadways connect to the rest of Central Florida. Orlando International Airport is about 11 miles away.
