A community-focused suburb on the verge of development
Beginning as an empty plot of land in the 1970s, Rosemont is blossoming into a distinct neighborhood in the Orlando area. "This is a community-focused neighborhood where locals know each other. We have an active community center with countless offerings that address the needs of residents of all ages," says Gerald Chiles, the Regional Center Manager of Rosemont Community Center; Chiles has also lived in Rosemont for several years.
The neighborhood is also on the cusp of revitalization. The abandoned golf course along Lake Orlando's shores will transform into a master-planned community. The space will include community parks, a concert pavilion, walking and biking paths, scooter lanes and a town center. The mixed-use section is branded as "RoseArts District."

Living lakeside or near the development
Locals residing in one of the former golf-side homes overlooking the development can watch the revitalization from their backyard. Others may settle in a property along Lake Orlando, in a cozy subdivision or cul-de-sac. The community's current housing styles include condos with Spanish influences at Island Club at Rosemont or the midsize homes at Camino Real. Detached houses often range from $350,000 to $450,000, while condos can enter the market as low as $175,000.
