Rosemont Elementary School (Rosemont) is located in the Rosemont neighborhood of North Orlando on Point Lookout Road. As a Title I school determined by the percentage of students eligible for free or reduced-price meals, Rosemont receives funding for staff and resources to meet students’ needs. Serving approximately 500 prekindergarten through fifth-grade students, Rosemont’s mission statement explains that with the support of the community, the school focuses on creating enriching and varied pathways to success. An on-site media center is available at Rosemont for students who wish to check out books or complete research. Additionally, students can access an online catalog of free e-books. Outside of classroom instruction, students enjoy visual arts performances in the cafeteria, which doubles as a screening area with a large projector and colorful hand-painted murals on the surrounding walls. After-school care activities include art club and book club. The school also offers the "My Brother's Keeper" male mentor program to fill the opportunity gaps that young boys may face. Sisters With Ambitions and Goals, also known as SWAG, was created to boost self-esteem for young girls attending Title I schools. These supportive programs are designed to give children in the community a safe space and help build confidence from a young age.

Principal Diaz and his staff are great! They want nothing more for students to learn and grow in a safe, encouraging, and positively structured environment. As a parent, I feel at ease knowing that my child is in a caring environment. It truly takes a village, and this school embodies that.
