Orlando lies in the center of sunny Florida and is aptly nicknamed "The Beautiful City." Housing options for many budgets are widely available. From modern condos to spacious single-family homes averaging between 2,000 and 4,000 square feet, there are styles to fit any family and lifestyle.

As with any city, Orlando has a diverse variety of neighborhoods. College Park is located near downtown Orlando, and though it has charming homes, they are on the more expensive side. East Orlando is an excellent option for those who crave a young and dynamic environment. Situated near the University of Central Florida, residents can enjoy football games, lectures, and theater shows on campus for little to no money. Single-family homes and rentals are most prevalent in East Orlando. Walt Disney World in Orlando is a huge cultural landmark, and many employees are residents of the Kissimmee and Celebration neighborhoods. If living in an early 1900s town with Hollywood movie set charm and a wide array of annual events sounds like heaven, head to Celebration. For a broader range of housing options from luxury homes to modest townhouses, look in the Lake Nona area. This up-and-coming neighborhood is evolving into a medically focused area and is close to the Orlando International Airport.

Though often touted for its tourism, Orlando is a major industrial and hi-tech center. Industries of note include agriculture, technology, aviation, aerospace, and software design. Around 20 countries have international facilities in Metro Orlando. In addition to industry and tech, residents can easily commute to Patrick Air Force Base, Cape Canaveral, and the Kennedy Space Center. The film, television, and gaming industries are another important sector. Both Universal Studios and Disney's Hollywood Studios reside in the area, as well as countless film and design schools. In tandem with these two major studios are also their widely visited theme parks, Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort. These destinations and the tourism industry are a large part of Orlando's economy. All in all, Orlando offers a wide array of career opportunities.
