Groveland Township offers a rural setting near multiple attractions

The rural enclave of Groveland Township was originally a trading route for Native Americans and French settlers but became a farming community in the 1830s. The township, which has grown to a population of 5,000 people, keeps to its rustic roots, with homes typically having large lawns and driveways, with large oaks and pines overhead. This also has multiple outdoor activities, including lakes and ski resorts. It’s also a commuting distance away from Flint and the Detroit metro. “(Groveland Township has) rural charm with just the right amount of convenience,” says Angela Batten, an associate broker with Real Estate One. “It’s not flashy or fast paced, but it’s full of heart, community and natural beauty.”
