The neighborhood has a variety of home styles, and many have front porches, which are about 15 to 30 feet from the sidewalk-lined streets. The fenced-in backyards often have patios, and old-growth trees shade the lawns. To the North of West Parrish Avenue, a pocket of early 20th-century bungalows is priced from $90,000 to $160,000. Ranch-style homes built in the 1950s and ‘60s are the neighborhood’s primary home style. The neighborhood's newly built contemporary-style homes are priced from $170,000 to $350,000. In the center of the neighborhood, a selection of brick New Traditional-style houses from the 1990s and early 2000s are priced from $290,000 to $630,000. “Your price per square foot is generally more competitive as compared to the east side of Owensboro,” says Realtor Leah Christian, who sells homes in the neighborhood with Genesis Realty of Western Kentucky. Some parts of the neighborhood are at flood risk because of its low elevation.
