Luxury waterfront community in north Parkland

MiraLago at Parkland offers luxury homes and amenities, all centered on scenic Lake Majesty. Located in the northwestern corner of Parkland, this guard-gated community offers resort-like living. “Everything is manicured, from the roads to the homes,” says Realtor Alex Sajovits. Leah Sajovits, also part of the husband-and-wife Realtor team at Douglas Elliman, says the sense of the community tends to keep residents in the community for a long time. “It’s a very family-friendly neighborhood, there’s always something to do. From Halloween to block parties, there’s a lot of activities,” she says.

Estates overlooking Lake Majesty

Most MiraLago residents have sweeping lake views from their backyards. The neighborhood mostly consists of single-family homes, whereas the nearby sister community of Town Parc has mostly townhomes. MiraLago’s other sister neighborhood, Cascata, borders the community. “MiraLago has Mediterranean-style homes, whereas Cascata is more modern. There’s a distinct difference between the communities,” says Leah Sajovits. In MiraLago, townhomes typically cost between $580,000 and $650,000, while single-family homes can range between $980,000 and $2 million. Neighborhood upkeep is handled by the homeowner’s association, which costs around $780 per month.

Highly rated Broward County Public Schools

Highly rated schools in the Broward County Public Schools district are a big draw for residents moving to Parkland. Parents in MiraLago have the choice of enrolling their children at Heron Heights Elementary School or Park Trails Elementary, both of which receive A-minus grades from Niche. Westglades Middle School, also rated A-minus, boasts the highest proficiency in reading, math, biology and several other classes out of all middle schools in the county. A-plus-rated Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School reported a 99% graduation rate in the 2023-24 school year, offering dual-enrollment courses with several prominent South Florida colleges, including the University of Florida and Florida Atlantic University.

MiraLago's state-of-the-art clubhouse

In addition to the community’s scenic lake, one of its best amenities is the expansive clubhouse. Residents can exercise in the indoor gym or relax in the community pool. The clubhouse area also offers several tennis courts and a tot lot for kids. MiraLago residents also have access to the sister community of Cascata through an underground walkway that goes under Nob Hill Road, which separates the two communities. Many residents also use golf carts to get around. Pine Trails Park is a few miles outside the neighborhood, with several walking trails and a fishing pier. Members of the private Parkland Golf and Country Club are also a few miles from the 18-hole course.

The Sawgrass Expressway leads to Boca Raton

MiraLago exits onto University Drive, one of Parkland’s major thoroughfares that leads to the central parts of the city. Residents heading to Boca Raton or Pompano Beach might take the Sawgrass Expressway toll road, which leads to the Florida Turnpike and Interstate 95. Boca Raton’s shops and sandy shores are about 14 miles away from MiraLago, while Pompano Beach is about 18 miles out. The closest medical center, Broward Health Coral Springs, is 6 miles away. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is 32 miles away.

Small plates at Patio Tapas and Beer

Parkland’s shopping centers and restaurants are about 5 miles from MiraLago. North Springs Plaza has several big-box retailers like Ross and Target. Meanwhile, Magnolia Shoppes has several sit-down restaurants like Patio Tapas and Beer and Casa Tequila. The shopping center is also home to a Regal movie theater. Publix and Walmart are on the western side of the city for groceries and everyday items.

We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
