Luxury living along the lake

Centered on a 200-acre lake, Parkland Bay offers its residents stunning homes with a view. In the northwestern corner of Parkland, the neighborhood is one of the city’s newest additions. “It’s a newer community located in a great school zone in Parkland,” says Alina Schwartz, a real estate agent with One Sotheby’s International Realty with over 20 years of experience in the Boca Raton area. The guard-gated community features upscale homes, many with lake views, as well as common amenities including a fitness center, a community pool and a park for kids.

Luxury homes with scenic lake views

Mediterranean-style estates are common in Parkland Bay, many with red-tiled roofing, three-car garages and luxury interior features like vaulted ceilings. Homes often sit on large lots, some spanning over a quarter-acre. Prices typically range between $1.3 million and $2.6 million, pricier than in the neighboring Four Seasons at Parkland community, a 55-plus neighborhood where home prices range from $850,000 to $1.5 million. HOA fees vary depending on the property but typically range between $400 and $700 a month. Many homes in the neighborhood offer undisturbed views of the newly designed lake, which is less than a mile from the Everglades. “It backs into the Everglades, so you might find alligators and other creatures in your backyard,” says Schwartz.

When residents aren’t taking a dip in the community pool or relaxing near the lake, there are several municipal parks and trails nearby. The community is about 3 miles from Pine Trails Park, which is home to a fishing pier for residents looking to cast a line. The park also has walking trails and an expansive playground for children. The Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge also has fishing spots and multiuse trails. “If you are into nature and are feeling wild, then you are right there by the Everglades. They even have Swamp Monster airboat tours that take you through the Everglades,” Schwartz says.
