Parkland Isles is a few miles from one of the Everglades conservation areas, which has several hiking and biking trails. Parkland Isles is 3 miles from the Parkland Equestrian Center, home to the city’s farmers market, which runs from November until April and is lined with local vendors. The city has celebrated Parkland Day since 1967, a festival that first started as a horse showcase. With no public transportation in or around the neighborhood, Parkland Isles residents tend to drive to get around. The Sawgrass Expressway, a major toll road, leads to the Florida Turnpike and Interstate 95. This part of Parkland is about 15 miles from Boca Raton and its miles of sandy shorelines along the oceanfront. In the other direction, the Everglades are merely a mile away. For medical care, the community is about 5 miles from the Broward Health Coral Springs hospital.
