Picturesque lake views in Parkland

With several scenic lakes serving as the backdrop, Watercrest at Parkland offers luxury lakefront living for most homes in the neighborhood. The guard-gated community offers a state-of-the-art clubhouse as well as access to highly rated schools, making it one of the most coveted places to live in the area. “What’s unique about Watercrest is that every home has a different feeling to it,” says Leah Sajovits, whose husband, Alex, is also a Realtor with Douglas Elliman. “It’s a very desirable neighborhood. It has a lot of amenities with a low HOA fee.” Family events like Halloween and an annual Turkey Trot help build a sense of community. "I’d say the community keeps people here,” Sajovits says. The community has a CAP Index crime score of 1, lower than the national figure.

Luxury waterfront homes

Watercrest is one of the newer neighborhoods in Parkland. Most homes were built in the late 2010s, many offering scenic, undisturbed views of one of the neighborhood’s several lakes. “The neighborhood is so manicured, one of my clients said it was like she was driving through Disneyland getting to the house,” Alex Sajovits says. Architectural styles range from Mediterranean flourishes with red-tiled roofs to larger estates with arched entryways on oversized lots. Prices vary depending on square footage and model, typically ranging between $1 million and $2.5 million. Though a majority of the homes are for sale, there are some rental houses as well. HOA fees usually hover around $500 per month, lower than neighboring communities like Parkland Bay and Miralago.
