Seventh biggest city in Ohio

Parma, a suburb of Northeastern Ohio, is named after a city in northern Italy but has its distinct identity. The town south of Cleveland offers diverse housing options, primarily built in the 1950s and 1960s, despite its scarce inventory most homes sell in the ballpark of $200,000 to $300,000. Its location provides various outdoor amenities, from parks and nature preserves to playgrounds and sports fields. Children have access to multiple top-rated schools in the Parma City School District, and proximity to major highways facilitates easy access to downtown Cleveland. Additionally, the city boasts a thriving shopping and dining scene with a mix of big box stores, national chains, and local establishments.

Diverse housing options with low inventory

Parma offers a diverse range of housing options, including bungalows, Ranch-style homes, classic Colonials, split-level residences, and Cape Cods. Despite the diverse housing stock, the market inventory in Parma tends to be spread thin, with less than a month's worth of inventory available. This scarcity underscores the demand for housing in the area, making it a competitive market for both buyers and sellers, says Realtor Vanessa Schiavi, Realtor of RE/Max Above Beyond. "It's a good spot for the middle income... houses in the $250,000-$300,000 range... a sweet spot for buyers," Schiavi says. Most homes sell for between $139,000 to $400,000, while the median price is $198,000. Homes line streets with front yards full of grass, most featuring driveways and garages. Neighborhoods in Parma are full of sidewalks.
