Wide open loft spaces near Downtown Philly
Once home to several abandoned factories, Callowhill earned the title of “The Loft District” thanks to redevelopment projects converting the rundown buildings into loft-style housing. The neighborhood is beloved by residents for its buzzing nightlife and strengthening arts scene. “It’s a desirable area because of its central location. It’s very close to Broad Street so it’s easy to commute throughout the city,” says Clay Shaffer, a local Realtor with Compass RE and four years of real estate experience. “Wide open loft spaces are popular and easy to come by in the area. They’ve got tons of windows, high ceilings and lots of natural light. There are plenty of large spaces with character.”
