Alhambra has a diverse selection of housing, from apartments and single-family homes to condos and a few manufactured homes. The median sale price is around $380,000, which is lower than the citywide median. Houses typically sell from the low $200,000s to around $1 million, although larger properties near Central Avenue with features such as pools, travertine patios and custom kitchens often sell from about $1 million to nearly $4 million. Townhouses and condos generally range from the low $100,000s to the low $700,000s.
Many of Alhambra's single-family options were built in the late 1940s through the 1960s. “There's a lot of history to these homes,” says Shivani Davis, a broker with Real Broker. “A lot of people who live in this area have families that have lived there since the time that these homes were built.” Along with these older properties, there are a few newer developments, including Casa Azul and Palm Grove East.

Access to Valley Metro light rail and Interstate 17
While most people drive, there are Valley Metro light rail stations along North 19th Avenue. Interstate 17 also runs through the area, and Central Avenue provides a clear path to Downtown Phoenix. From here, it's less than 10 miles to downtown, and the trip usually takes about 15 to 30 minutes. Glendale is a similar distance and travel time.

Throughout the year, the Uptown Farmers Market takes place nearby. It's a popular spot to pick up fresh produce and baked goods while spending a relaxed morning outdoors. Depending on where they live, kids can attend schools in either the Alhambra Elementary School District or the Washington Elementary School District.
