Interstate 279 runs along the neighborhood’s west side and is easily accessible to residents, making for simple routes across the Allegheny River. Carless commutes are breezy as well. Spring Hill City View is a predominantly residential community. That said, everything from hole-in-the-wall bars to trendy coffee shops is minutes away. On the edge of the neighborhood lies Threadbare Cider House. This cidery meets pizza kitchen meets bottle shop is known for its home-brewed ciders and meads. Hog’s Head is another nearby hub, affectionately referred to by locals as the “The Pig Bar.” More popular establishments can be found in Troy Hill, the community next door. De Fer Coffee has a quaint location here, perfect for morning pick-me-ups. Down the street, Tammy’s Place is a homey bar and grill with delectable menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As for restocking the pantry and running other errands, Giant Eagle Supermarket is just over a mile away, less than a 5-minute drive.
