Bott Community Skate Park gives area residents a place to channel their inner X Games, and farther east, the Lake Renwick Preserve stretches nearly 1,000 acres with opportunities to fish, bike and view wildlife.

Illinois Route 126 bisects West Plainfield, running east-to-west and linking the area with Yorkville close to Oswego, though motorists can also jump on Interstate 55 at the eastern end just beyond Plainfield.
