Centrally located neighborhood with tree-lined streets and highly rated schools

Just over 20 miles north of Downtown Dallas sits the conveniently located community of Bunker. The neighborhood’s location next to U.S. Route 75 gives residents an easy commute to Dallas and the rest of the Metroplex. “Location, location, location! This area of Plano is close to shopping and restaurants and has easy access to 75 and the George Bush Turnpike, so getting around town is easy,” says Julie Bologna, team lead at the Julie Bologna Group with eXp Realty. While getting around the Metroplex is easy, staying home is just as great. The neighborhood is home to the Plano Aquatic Center and part of the Chisolm Trail, both popular recreational spots. Students enjoy quality education in Bunker, with both the public and private high schools nearby earning an A grade on Niche. The neighborhood also boasts a collection of restaurants and two grocery stores, making meals easy to find. "The neighborhood offers excellent amenities, including well-maintained parks, recreational facilities and highly-rated schools, making it a great place for families," Tommy Lankri, a Realtor with the Lankri Group says.

Traditional brick ranch-style, Tudor-inspired and Spanish revival homes

Bunker features a mix of older and newer homes in various styles. There are traditional brick ranch-style houses, but there are also homes with Tudor-inspired features like half-timbered facades and Spanish Revival homes with red tile roofs. “Homes in this neighborhood usually have beautiful mature trees and sidewalks—and you have space between homes,” Bologna says. “The homes were typically built in the 70s, but many have been remodeled and updated, and yet you still get a nice sized backyard to barbecue and entertain.” Most single-family homes in the neighborhood have sold for between $350,000 to $850,000, with a few spacious homes having gone for over $1 million. Condominiums and townhouses are also available in Bunker and have sold for between $190,000 and $290,000. "Bunker stands out with its competitive home prices, offering more value compared to nearby areas," Lankri says.
