A sought-after suburb with highly-regarded schools
Hunters Glen is a highly-desired suburban community that connects residents with top-rated schools and an incredibly dynamic and expansive park. And while Plano Independent Schools and Jack Carter Park are this neighborhood's stars, its proximal location is a significant draw. "It's a really accessible area. You're right between major highways that get you to Dallas in 10 minutes. People see it on a map, and they're like, 'Oh, that's far from Dallas.' But it's not because it's sandwiched between two high-speed highways," Realtor Sarah Matthews of Fathom Realty, LLC. Matthews has sold homes across the region for just over five years.
Quiet peaceful residential communities await you in Hunters Glen.

Front yards are usually spacious, giving homeowners plenty of room for landscaping or setting up some chairs in the yard to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Homes typically start at around $400,000 for a three-bedroom ranch-style house. Larger four and five-bedroom custom brick homes will cost $600,000 to $800,000, and a few reach $1 million.

Summer days at Jack Carter Park
Hunters Glen is home to Jack Carter Park, a large recreation area where locals frequently convene. "Jack Carter Park is a huge draw for people that live around here," says Realtor Shannon Beitchman of Compass RE Texas, LLC. Beitchman is a Plano resident and has sold homes in the area since 2016. "It's one of my favorite parks in Plano. It offers access to the Jack Water Pool, which is its own waterpark with all sorts of amenities." The Jack Carter Pool features two pools, a lazy river, a splash pad and a surf simulator. Two water slides give visitors an exciting ride into the park's pools. The deep-water pool at the park features a diving platform and a rock climbing wall for the more adventurous. The park's northern end has a sand volleyball court, an accessible playground and ample green space. The Chisholm Trail and Bluebonnet Trail meander through the park, giving residents a space for hiking or running through nature.

Legacy Drive Village and Salsa Tex-Mex dining
At the corner of Legacy and Independence Drive is a dense commercial pocket where most locals run their errands. Legacy Drive Village is an expansive shopper center anchored by a Kroger, where most locals grab groceries. The shopping center also has ample service businesses and restaurants, such as Subway, a tailor and a veterinary clinic. However, shopping centers are scattered throughout the area, so locals have plenty of shopping options. Village Creek Plaza features an Oasis International Market, while Hunters Glen Crossing features a Tom Thumb. Locals head to Salsa Tex-Mex for dinner. This restaurant uses fresh local ingredients for authentic Tex-Mex dishes like brisket enchiladas and chimichangas. Locals enjoy the food along with the excellent service and the ice-cold margaritas.
