Quiet, green neighborhood near Downtown Pleasanton
Pleasanton Heights is east of historic Downtown Pleasanton and about two miles from Interstate 680, a major Bay Area corridor. While the neighborhood is near urban activity, the residential streets are quiet, and the neighborhood claims its share of Pleasanton’s many parks and green spaces. Its gentle hills display all shades of green with tall pines and smaller, fuller maples, laurels and fruit trees. Primarily single-family homes, the neighborhood has a handful of condos and apartments, two churches and a highly ranked elementary school. “People move to Pleasanton for the schools, and they love Valley View Elementary in Pleasanton Heights,” says Stephany Jenkins, a top-producing Realtor and co-founder of Park46 Real Estate. “Close proximity to downtown is another big draw — there are a lot of cool community events down there. And then a lot of people do like to live near the highway and commute to work. We’ve got people that go down to the South Bay where Facebook and Google are, and also to San Francisco.”
