The beach has several entry points, but only some portions allow activities like surfing or launching watercraft. Lauderdale-By-The-Sea has another public beach, over 4.5 miles away from South Dixie. The triplexes often list between $300,000 and $350,000. “You can still get some single-family homes in the high $400,000s here on about a quarter-acre of land,” Knoll says. “The location and the price point are draws to the area.”

Pompano Beach Cultural Center (PBCC) sits in the northeastern corner of the neighborhood and features a theater and art gallery where residents can engage with the arts and live performances. Green Market Pompano Beach takes place every second and fourth Saturday morning from November to April at PBCC. Locals can browse fresh produce, baked goods, local seafood and crafts.
