The streets within Sawgrass’ two neighborhoods are wide, designed to wind gently around their central golf courses. Both communities are made up of smaller subdivisions that break off into cul-de-sacs. While the Players Club subdivision is slightly larger than the Country Club community, Sawgrass as a whole includes 3,000 homes. A mix of single-family houses, condos and townhomes built between the late 1970s and ‘90s populate the neighborhood. Architecture ranges from small one-story traditional ranch-style homes and cottages to multi-story Mediterranean mansions; smaller homes start at around $260,000, while larger properties average $3 million. Homeowners associations manage both divisions of the neighborhood.

Pro golf and tennis tournaments
The Players Championship golf tournament is held in Sawgrass each March. During the tournament, the Sawgrass Clubhouse (located in the Players Club community) brings together thousands of spectators from across the country to watch golf pros compete, making the neighborhood a little busier than usual. Golf isn’t the only popular sport in Sawgrass. Tennis players flock to the Sawgrass Country Club’s impressive Racquet Club, a 13-court complex that hosts professional tennis matches and holds up to 3,000 spectators.
