Inside the clubhouse, there is a library with computers and Wi-Fi, billiards, a gourmet kitchen and an activities director with a year-round calendar full of events. Single-and-double-wide mobile homes

Briarwood has both new and remodeled pre-owned homes on 332 sites. Prices range from $49,900 to $199,900, according to Trudy Berg, community manager. Single- and double-wide manufactured homes comprise the neighborhood. Narrow gridded streets, occasionally dotted with palm trees, have sidewalks. Most of the homes have peaked roofs and lap siding, providing an aesthetic appeal and designed to make life simpler. Florida rooms are a common feature here. Additionally, the community is conveniently located just 0.6 miles from nearby bodies of water, which makes for stunning views.

Lots of nearby eateries

The manufactured home park offers residents close proximity to great shopping, dining and entertainment. The Pavilion at Port Orange, a 4-mile drive on local streets, is an open-air shopping mall with top chain stores and eateries. "The Pavilion is a nice vision added two years ago in 2020," Harper says. Regal movie theaters is also nearby. For those who enjoy dining out, the area has a range of restaurants, including Mexican, Italian and Chinese eateries, as well as the local favorite Big J's Steak & Seafood Restaurant. Local hot spots include Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant and Fysh Bar and Grill, where patrons are served cuisine from four separate kitchens: American, Japanese, Italian and seafood. They also have live music. Last Resort Bar on South Ridgewood Avenue is famous for its role as the last place where Aileen Wuornos sipped a cold beer. Since then, it has been featured in the movie "Monster," a retelling of her story. Now, Wuornos memorabilia decorate the bar, from the walls to the hot sauce bottles.
