South Port St. Lucie neighborhood convenient for commuting
Crane Landing is a cozy Port St. Lucie neighborhood with winding streets and landscaped lawns. A far cry from many of the bustling neighborhoods in larger cities like West Palm Beach, this community has become a nesting area for those looking for roomier, more affordable homes and quiet communities. “The south side is newer. That’s one of its draws. The houses are bigger and were built in the 2000s or later,” says Douglas Jackson, a real estate agent at Vylla Home and a Port St. Lucie resident. Crane Landing is also convenient for commuting to South Florida, where many residents continue to work.
Ranch and New Traditional homes from the 2000s
Crane Landing is almost entirely residential, with quiet streets that often end in cul-de-sacs. Most homes are ranch-style or New Traditional, built in the 2000s, though a few from the 1980s and 1990s can be found scattered throughout the neighborhood. Three-bedroom homes here range from the low $300,000s to the low $400,000s and larger three- and four-bedroom homes from the mid $400,000s to around $1 million. Older homes are typically priced in the $300,000s, since they may need renovations. Spacious front yards are often landscaped with small trees and flowers, and backyards sometimes feature pools. There are undeveloped lots throughout the neighborhood for those looking to build new. Land prices range from $115,000 to $130,000. Regarding crime, Crane Landing scores a 2 out of 10 on the CAP Index, two points lower than the national average.
