Insulated yet close to some of Port St. Lucie's best amenities

The Tulip Park neighborhood on Port St. Lucie’s south side is coveted for its convenience and suburban feel. The community is characterized by quiet streets and backyards perfect for playtime, says Sandra Terpening, a real estate agent with Keller William Realty of Port St. Lucie. “It’s definitely got a tight-knit feel and is a great place to raise a family,” she says. Terpening, who sells throughout the Treasure Coast, says Port St. Lucie has been growing in the past 10 years, drawing Floridians from larger metropolitan areas looking for more of a community. “I moved to Port St. Lucie from Tampa and love it,” she says. “I still love Tampa, but it’s gotten so big. Port St. Lucie is growing, but it still has that community feel. It’s bloomed and blossomed so much over the years.”

Whispering Pines Park, just north of Southwest Tulip Boulevard, includes multiple tennis and pickleball courts, a baseball field and a large, shaded playground. Jessica Clinton Park is another popular green space. “It’s a really nice place to take the dog for a walk and for kids to play on the playground. It’s very relaxing and pretty,” Terpening says.
