Humboldt’s tree-lined streets feature 100-year-old homes and recently built houses and condominiums. Bungalows and small cottages have recently sold for about $360,000 to $450,000, while American Foursquare homes from the early 1900s sold for about $425,000 to $600,000.

Students can attend schools in the Portland School District, including Beach Elementary, which both earn a B grade from Niche. Harriet Tubman Middle earns a B-minus grade and has a student/teacher ratio of 13:1. MAX light rail takes residents to downtown Portland

TriMet buses have several regular stops around PCC’s Cascade Campus. Interstate 5, which goes through Humboldt, bisects Oregon from north to south, connecting travelers from Seattle to San Francisco. One of the largest children’s hospitals on the West Coast is 2 miles from the center of Humboldt.
