About Pottsgrove, PA

Residential peace outside of Pottstown

Along the Schuylkill River, Pottsgrove is a rural-suburban community ideal for living in quiet seclusion without being isolated from city conveniences and diversions. “You have to mention downtown whenever you’re talking about any neighborhood near Pottstown,” says Jennifer Davidheiser, an agent with The Real Estate Professionals, a family-owned firm established in the Pottstown area 30 years ago. The neighborhood is only minutes from downtown Pottstown, where new beer gardens, boutique shops and businesses have opened along the High Street corridor. But being on the outskirts means that Pottsgrove residents still get to live on tree-lined streets among peaceful parks.

Rising home prices due to new popularity

With a mix of Colonial Revival, Cape Cod and ranch-style homes constructed in the last century, residential properties in Pottsgrove usually sell for more than $300,000. “There’s a change happening,” Davidheiser says. “We’re seeing values go right up in the surrounding neighborhoods because of downtown.” A 2-bedroom colonial-style home built in the 1960s can be purchased for approximately $350,000. On the higher end, near the back nine of the Brookside Country Club, larger colonial-style homes built in the past decade with more than 3,000 square feet of living space along a more suburban, sidewalk-lined street have recently sold for upward of $550,000.

Vintage vibes at the roller rink

The community's largely wooded setting provides opportunities to experience nature along community trails, many of which can be found at the Althouse Arboretum. To strike up some fun on a weekend, families can visit one of Pottsgrove’s many parks — including Ringing Rocks Park. The boulder field here makes a resonating sound when hit with a hammer, but peace and quiet can be found enjoying sunrise biking or sunset picnics by Buck County’s largest waterfall. Next door, there’s the Ringing Rocks Roller Rink which hosts Tuesday Night Cheapskate with $5 entry and $2 rental fees.

Meghan’s areas of focus in NJ are all of the shore points and while in DE, her client focus is the areas outside of Wilmington and the DE/PA border.

Meghan graduated with her BSN from Villanova University in 2003 and worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for two years before entering into real estate. When working with her clients, she tries to use one of the most important aspects of nursing- holistic care.
