A neighborhood hidden beneath the pines
Though it’s easily visible on a map, Hidden Valley Ranch is concealed beneath hundreds of towering ponderosas and behind lush vegetation. "It’s a community on the south side of town that is surrounded by the pines," says Realtor Rose Gowen with Keller Williams Arizona Realty, who was sold several homes in the neighborhood. "You're surrounded by foliage and the mountains, and it's a really quiet neighborhood." This community rises above the rest of Prescott at an elevation of 5,900 feet and offers panoramic views of both the city and its surrounding nature. In this tucked-away neighborhood, a close-knit community comes together at a clubhouse and sports grounds while also having access to peaceful seclusion among the trees.

Hillside homes with lush gardens
Hidden Valley Ranch has over 750 houses, most of which are ranch-style residences built from the 1980s to the late 2000s. "There’s a mixture of townhouses and single-family residences, and it does have an HOA that includes a community center," Gowen says. "They’re still building in there, so they have a few lots available." Colorful ranch-style homes in the southern half of the neighborhood vary in price from $450,000 to $860,000, while those north of Haisley Road and closer to downtown can fetch between $630,000 and $1.1 million. Hidden Valley Ranch’s streetscapes are defined by elevation and vegetation; tall trees provide abundant shade to both residences and people strolling down the neighborhood’s streets. Houses tend to feature lush front yards, while those in the hills may have curving, uphill driveways. These hilltops offer commanding views of the city of Prescott, its suburbs and the snowcapped peaks of the Sierra Prieta and Bradshaw Mountains.
