Quailwood Meadows doesn't have many trees, but there are sidewalks throughout most of the neighborhood. Houses tend to be new, traditional, or craftsman-style. Front yards are modestly sized and usually made up of pebbles or mulch. Houses in Quailwood Meadows tend to sell for between $390,000 and $560,000. “The houses are nice, in general,” says Turner. Townhouses are also available and sell for between $380,000 and $500,000. A homeowner’s association also serves the neighborhood with a fee of $168 per month. Homebuyers should know that Quailwood Meadows scores a 1 out of 10 on the CAP Crime Index, lower than the national average of 4. The area also has a 6 out of 10 major fire factor risk from First Street.
The area is served by the Humboldt Unified School District, which has a B rating on Niche. Humboldt Elementary School has a B-plus rating, and Bradshaw Mountain Middle School has a B rating. Bradshaw Mountain High School has a B rating and is rated No. 5 in Yavapai County by Niche. The high school has a variety of after-school activities for students, like a board game club, theatrical troupe, and Science Olympiad.
U.S. Route 69 is the main road in and out of the area, leading 90 miles south to Phoenix. There aren't any bus stops in Quailwood Meadows, so a car is necessary for getting around. The Prescott Regional Airport is about 17 miles north and the Phoenix International Airport is about 90 miles south. The Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center is about 7 miles away.
The Blue Hills Café, known as Steve and Kathy's to locals, has been a Prescott Valley constant since 1980. It's less than a mile from Quailwood Meadows, across U.S. Route 69. The restaurant has a no-frills interior and serves burgers, burritos and breakfast food. About 7 miles away, the Prescott Valley Town Center offers shopping, dining, and a movie theater. It's home to national retailers like Kohl's and Walmart and fast-casual restaurants like Chili's and Panda Express. Safeway is the nearest grocery store, about 7 miles northeast along Route 69.
Quailwood Park is in the neighborhood and has a baseball field. Quailwood Community Center, across the street from the park, is a gathering spot for the neighborhood and has basketball, tennis and pickleball courts along with an indoor clubhouse and a pool. The Quailwood Greens Golf Course is next door. The 18-hole course is home to the Kitchen and Taphouse restaurant, and hosts events and live music for course members.
Findlay Toyota Center, about 7 miles away, is the local hub for events. The arena draws regional and national acts for music, comedy and other types of performance s. It's also an ice-skating rink with events and classes for children and adults.
