Mid-century ranch-style homes
Mid-century ranch-style homes are the most common home styles, but the neighborhood also has a small selection of mid-century colonial-style homes. “It’s great for starter homes,” says Kimberly Mann, Realtor with Real Broker LLC. “Most of the homes are about 1,000 to 1,200 square feet.” Most of the homes also come with finished basements, Mann says, and if they have a garage, the garage is typically a two-car garage. “It’s very attractive to people who like to work on cars.” Prices range from $166,000 to $285,000, while the median price is $225,000, up 20% from the previous year. Because of the age of the homes, Mann says, many homes being sold now have been fully renovated. Lower-priced homes may not have been renovated, while homes selling closer to $300,000 have been fully renovated.
The most common home type found in Green Crest is the classic ranch.
Colonial revival homes are the largest home style that can be found along Green Crest's streets.

Sidewalks and the County Bike Trail
Green Crest streets are lined with sidewalks, so walkers have space to roam. “It’s a major bike trail that runs all the way through Kenosha to Illinois,” Mann says. Bus stops line Durand and Drexel Avenues, and Knoll Place holds a couple of stops at the neighborhood's south end. Drivers can connect to South Green Bay Road two miles west, and 11 miles west, they can reach Interstate 94. By way of the interstate, downtown Milwaukee is 33 miles from Green Crest.
Greencrest and Sheridan Woods Parks
The County Bike Trail provides miles of paved pathway for bikers, runners and walkers. Spanning 5 acres, Greencrest Park offers residents a playground, a basketball court and a short, wooded walking path. West of Green Crest, Sheridan Woods Park is a small green space with a playground.
Greencrest Park offers shaded fields for picnics and athletic facilities for active locals.
