Jones Elementary School offers pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, and Mitchell Middle School offers grades six through eight. Both schools earn a C-minus on Niche. Park High School's robust football program serves as one half of “The Great Rivalry” with William Horlick High School. The schools opened in 1928 and have maintained a local rivalry since, playing each other at least once a year. Park High School earns a B-minus.

Racine County Bike Trail just west
Greenbriar streets are lined with sidewalks, and the neighborhood’s easternmost street, Knoll Place, holds several RYDE Racine bus stops. The Racine County Bike Trail runs along the neighborhood’s western edge and takes bikers and runners as far south as Illinois. Durand Avenue sits about a half-mile north of Greenbriar, and drivers can take the avenue 3 miles west to South Green Bay Road or 11 miles west to Interstate 94. Further north, roughly 4 miles from the neighborhood, Ascension All Saints Hospital is the primary hospital for the city and provides 24-hour emergency care. By taking the interstate, drivers are just 34 miles from downtown Milwaukee.
The Racine County Bike Trail runs through out the neighborhood providing easy access.
The community is quiet, making it an ideal spot for families.

Lake Shore Park and other recreation
The neighborhood’s closest park is Greencrest Park on Drexel Avenue. It has a playground, a basketball court and a short walking trail. Less than 2 miles east, Lake Park is a green space overlooking the rocky shore of Lake Michigan and holds a playground, swings and a small picnic shelter. Just under a mile to the northeast, Sheridan Woods Park has a small green space and a playground.

“Racine is full of great restaurants,” Herek says. “But in general, in Wisconsin, if you want great food, you go to a bar.” Two miles south of Greenbriar, HOBNOB is an upscale supper club combining an upscale bar with a lakeside restaurant featuring a rear deck that overlooks the water of Lake Michigan. For brunch and mimosas, there’s Blue Bear on Taylor Avenue, about a mile north of Greenbriar. West of the neighborhood, there's a Piggly Wiggly, Target and other national chains, along with the Regency Mall, an indoor mall with over 100 stores.
Greenbriar’s coffee scene attracts remote workers with free Wi-Fi and quiet atmospheres.

Celebrations of Downtown Racine
Four miles north of Greenbriar, Downtown Racine hosts a full calendar of annual events. The city’s summer concert series, First Fridays, brings live music to venues across the downtown area on the first Friday of each month. At the end of summer, Party on the Pavement attracts more than 15,000 people to Downtown Racine. The festival features live music, local cuisine and deals from local shops throughout the city. In November, the Holiday Parade kicks off the holiday season and ends with the Tree Lighting Ceremony at Monument Square.
