Residential living in Uptown-the Junction
About 1 mile southwest of downtown Racine and close to the Root River, Uptown-the Junction has a mix of historic homes, industrial plants and warehouses. Within the residential parts of the community, homebuyers can expect properties from the late Victorian era, community gardens and pocket green spaces. Surrounding waterways, such as the Root River and Lake Michigan, offer many opportunities for water recreation, while the downtown area provides plenty of dining and entertainment options. “Racine’s downtown is really coming together,” says Rosa Stong, who founded Becker Stong Real Estate Group and has over 10 years of experience. “There are older buildings being revitalized for commercial businesses, and there are lots of original restaurants and pastry shops.”
