Access to Boston from downtown Randolph
Fifteen miles from Boston lies the town of Randolph, a small suburban community known for its annual gatherings and events, as well as access to Interstate 93. Downtown Randolph is the area's bustling center, with a number of shops and restaurants surrounded by multi-family housing. Larger single-family homes and parks sit farther out from downtown, and commuters take advantage of both State Route 34 and the public rail station on Union Street. This makes it convenient for getting to Boston, which is just about a 40-minute drive north. “When people want to move to Boston, but the prices are too high, Randolph is often the first place people go to get more bang for their buck,” says Pauline Samuel, a Realtor with Your Choice Solutions who has been serving the area for over eight years. “The area is very well known for its community and is very kid-friendly, with a lot of programs for kids and families.”

Local businesses are also popular around Randolph, with Timmy the Tailor being one of the more well-known shops. “He is the community’s celebrity tailor; he is just that good,” Samuel says. “If you gave him your wedding dress, he’d have it ready by the end of the week.” Residents can shop for groceries at the America’s Food Basket of Randolph or the Shaw's located in Randolph Plaza.
