Single-family homes with acres of land
Most homes in Kanaskat are found along narrow country roads, come with acres of land and are surrounded by tall trees. “There’s not a lot of housing out here, in terms of new development. They’re all older,” Waloweek says. Ranch-style homes and raised ranchers built between the 1930s and 1990s are common, some with vinyl exteriors and others with a cabin-inspired design. These houses span 1,400 to 2,700 square feet and cost $500,000 to $825,000. Traditional single-story and manufactured homes are smaller and can get as low as $450,000.Other housing options for the area include split-levels and traditional multi-story homes built between the 1920s and 1970s. Prices range from $550,000 to $950,000. Craftsman-inspired farmhouses with front porches, pointed roofs and multiple front gables tend to come with acreage. Some homeowners will use the property as a working farm with chicken and livestock. These homes span 3,200 to 3,800 square feet and cost $1.2 million to $1.5 million.
