Condominiums, townhomes, and single-family homes comprise most of the dwellings in this neighborhood’s subdivisions. “This is an upscale older neighborhood with older homes,” says Reno-based Realtor David Tully of LPT Realty — so renovations may be something buyers may want to factor in. The average home’s cost is about $907,000, with two-bedroom homes starting around $500,000 and premium waterfront real estate on Lake Stanley selling for more than $2 million.
Lakeridge is within 2 miles of Virginia Street, a busy commercial thoroughfare that has all the essentials covered, from groceries at Trader Joe’s to clothes and apparel at Meadowood Mall. There is also no shortage of great places to eat around the area. The Lakeside Bar & Grill specializes in breakfast, lunch, and dinner comfort foods like their savory meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes. Lakeridge students attend schools in the Washoe County School District. Niche gives the school an overall B-plus rating. Students typically then go on to Edward L Pine Middle School, rated B-minus, and Reno High School, rated A. Convenience counts — it only takes a short 5-mile drive to get to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport or the heart of downtown Reno. The city’s public transportation system doesn’t reach Lakeridge, so folks should expect to get around by car.
