Located in Richardson’s northern end, the aptly named Northrich neighborhood is a quiet community that boasts proximity to some of the city’s most happening spots. Nearby destinations like CityLine and Richardson’s Core District provide unique shopping and dining options, while Highway 75 grants easy connections to Downtown Dallas and the greater Metroplex area. Paired with top-rated schools, Northrich offers a tranquil suburban feel outside of Dallas. “Richardson overall is a really convenient place, located close to two major thoroughfares,” says Suzy Neal, a local Realtor with Compass. “And Northrich, in particular, is a very family-oriented neighborhood with a very active community.”

Seventh and eighth graders attend A-minus-rated Richardson North Junior High School before advancing to JJ Pearce High School, which maintains an A Niche rating. “JJ Pearce High School is one of the most desirable schools in the area,” Neal says, adding that it’s a deciding factor for new residents. Entertainment at Core District and CityLine

Northrich also boasts proximity to some of Richardson’s most up-and-coming hotspots. “The neighborhood is less than two miles to the new Richardson Core District and less than five miles to the CityLine entertainment district,” Neal says. Main Street in the Core District in downtown Richardson is home to several neighborhood stores and eateries. Shoppers can purchase apparel, jewelry, and gifts before indulging in a variety of cuisines, including authentic Chinese and American bar food. For classic hamburgers and root beer, locals visit Del's Charcoal Hamburgers. Since 1957, this neighborhood barbecue has been a mainstay of the neighborhood. CityLine is a sizable mixed-use project located north of the neighborhood with several stores and eateries, such as Good Union Urban BBQ. “It’s a great place to have dinner, hang out outside or take your dog to play frisbee,” Neal adds. The development also often hosts night markets with up to 45 local merchants and free live music on the plaza.
