Welcome to the vibrant community of Pecan Grove.
Welcome to the vibrant community of Pecan Grove.

Pecan Grove is one of Fort Bend’s most recognizable planned neighborhoods

Pecan Grove is one of the largest planned communities in Fort Bend County, stretching across 1,450 acres of land between Grand Parkway and Highway 90. A staple in the Houston suburbs since 1978, the development is self-contained with shopping, restaurants and community parks right on site. A private 27-hole golf course and vibrant community events like an annual holiday lights competition keep the locals of this organized community engaged and active all year long. Combined with two well-ranked school districts and proximity to three nearby cities, Pecan Grove has plenty to explore both inside and outside the neighborhood. “When people come here, they stay here,” says Richard Elkowitz, an agent at Re/Max Signature, who has lived in Pecan Grove for over 30 years. “People transfer and go to a different area, and they come back to Pecan Grove. I’ve got everything here. Why move?”

Public community parks and private golfing at Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club

Pecan Grove Park on Pitts Road is the largest of the community’s public parks and has baseball, football and soccer fields. Belin Park and Field on Farmer Road, Harlem Road Park on Harlem Road and Plantation Memorial Park on Plantation Drive round out Pecan Grove’s community parks. Residents often spring for memberships at the Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club, a small club on Plantation Drive that is notable for its 27-hole golf course. Outside the community, George Park on Collins Road has multiple sports fields and a hiking trail.

The community has some of the best holiday lights in Houston

Pecan Grove shines during the holiday season. “On the news, every year, there will be a few neighborhoods mentioned for Christmas lights, and Pecan Grove is always one of them,” says Kimberly Patel, a Realtor and team lead for Top Key Properties Group at Coldwell Banker Realty. “There are hayrides throughout the community, so you can sit with your family and drink hot cocoa to see the lights.” The neighborhood association gives out prizes for the homes with the most elaborate light displays, and community members who win first, second or third place five years in a row receive a special “Hall of Fame” bulb to add to their display.

Pecan Grove’s custom homes featuring large yards with pools

While many Pecan Grove properties were custom-built between the 1980s and 2010s, they share similar features like brick and stone facades and pitched roofs. Single-story residences have a price point of $250,000 to $300,000, while multistory homes range from $300,000 up to $700,000. Luxury properties over 4,000 square feet range from $800,000 to $2 million. Regardless of size, Pecan Grove residences are surrounded by desirable features, including large front yards filled with mature trees and sizable backyards with in-ground pools.
